Singing in the Rain

In this scene from Singing in the rain, Gene Kelly has an outgoing, quick moving pace that illustrates his lighthearted energy. After dancing for the entire scene Gene is not out of breath or tired at all. Gene is tall and quick on his feet, which implies that he is athletic. The dance slowly picks up its pace throughout the song which expresses how upbeat the dance is.. Gene gradually presents his optimistic dance skills through his cheery nature and fast tempo dance. The fast pace of the song expresses the difficulty of the dance although he is neither arrogant nor boastful about his level of dance skill.  He gets excited during the dance, but stays smooth which enhances his exuberant yet a relaxed manor. He is not timid throughout the whole scene which makes presents his formal enthusiasm.
