I just began reading a new book, The Lincoln Lawyer, I decided to take a break from the Pretty Little Liars series. I am planning on finishing the series though.
The Lincoln Lawyer is about a defense lawyer, Mickey Haller, is pretty well known and is pretty good at what he does. He works out of his cars, Lincolns. One of his partners, Valenzuela, thinks he has a "franchise case" for their team. They refer to those as franchise cases cause they believe they will make a lot of money off of the deal. The case is about a guy names Louis Roulet, he is a real estate agent who is very wealthy and he is accused of raping and assaulting a prostitue. Roulet claims he did not do it so Micky is there to defend him and get him out of this mess.
Micky isn't a perfect guy either, he has 2 ex-wives, Lorna and Maggie, he has a child with Maggie though. Her name is Hayley and she is eight years old. The reason it didn't work out with Maggie was because she was a prosecuted who was on the good guys team while Micky defends the guilty, and as for Lorna, she was basically just a rebound girl after Maggie.
