March 29th 2011

After listening to the interviews of the high school seniors, i can relate to the students because the school they go to is about the same size as Homestead. I see myself relating to the Physical Therapist, because I want to go to college and do something with science or math but I am not exactly sure yet, which is why I can also relate to the undecided.
In ten years, I see myself graduated from College as either and optometrist or something that has to do with science or math. As for right now I have no concrete plans as to what I want to do.
After reading the A Soccer Phenom Puts the "I" in team, i was suprised as to how dedicated and talented a 16 year old could be. In the article it says "
She practices for at least 90 minutes a day and wears through a pair of specialized freestyling sneakers every month." This shows the dedication and hard work she has to put in to be as good as she is. I also liked how she mentioned that she "like freestyle so much because I dont have any teammates to worry about." I understand what she means when she says that because sometimes when you want something done right you have to do it yourself. I agree with what her mom says about how their is so much jealousy on team sports. That statement is true because everyone wants to play, but sometimes the better players get to play. It is refreshing that at 16 she has such high goals and expectations, she wants to play at UNC for soccer because Mia Hamm played. I hope all goes well for the young soccer star.
