The Brass Verdict pgs. 1-50

After two years of not practicing law because of being hurt by Roulet in the previous story, Micky Haller is back in action.  His former colleague Jerry Vincent has been murdered in a parking garage and Micky was the one written down to recieve all of Vincent's cases.  Micky is going to Jerry's office to find out some information on who could have killed Vincent, but found a detective and his assistant snooping around through Jerry's things.  Micky tells them to leave the premesis because it is considered unauthorized searching.
Most of the 31 active cases in Vincent's file are minor stuff, but one is huge: "Walter Elliot . . . was the chairman/owner of Archway Pictures and a very powerful man in Hollywood. He had been charged with murdering his wife and her lover in a fit of rage after discovering them together in a Malibu beach house. The case had all sorts of connections to sex and celebrity and was drawing wide media attention.
I am really excited to be reading the next book after the Lincoln Lawyer, because The Lincoln Lawyer was such a good book, i hope it can live up to its expectations.
