Sara and Brian, Anna's parents, discover the next day that Anna wants to sue them for rights to her own body. Her mother thinks Anna is using this as an excuse for attention. Sara is thinking of ways to bribe her or give her more attention so she will not go through with it. While Sara thinks that Anna is insane for trying to sue, Brian thinks they should let Anna explain. Sara is starting to question who's side Brian is really on.
While Anna's parents are arguing, she is reminiscing on the memories of her and Kate. Even though some of the memories are bad, she remembers how much respect she really has for Kate. She flashed back to when they she was five and kate was eight, and she remembered sharing a room together. Kate told Anna she was her only true friend because she had been out of school for so long that she didn't have any real friends.
