In chapter 4 of flawless, Aria takes her younger brother Mike downtown to a local bar called the Victory Brewery. Aria and Mike both are not 21, but somehow get away with drinking beer and shots. While at this bar Mike and Aria had some fun messing around untill they see their dad, Byron, show up with another woman. This woman was Meredith, the same women Aria had caught her dad with several years ago while with Ali. The first time Aria had seen them together her dad spotted her and Aria swore never to tell her mom. This time Mike saw Byron and Meredith and stormed out of the brewery. Aria went looking for him, but he was no where to be found.
In chapter 5, Spencer's family is still furious with her about the whole Wren ordeal. Spencer goes downstairs only to find her family and her sisters ex-boyfriend Ian, but apparently Ian and Melissa are back together. One of Spencer's deepest and oldest secrect was that she had actually made out with Ian several years back, but only Ali knew about that. Spencer was really suprised to see Ian with Melissa. Not only is it awkward for Spencer to see Ian now, but he is also the coach of her field hockey team!
In chapter 6, Emily goes to tell her swim coach that she wants to quit, but her coach tells her she wants Emily to be captain, so Emily decides not to quit. After that she sees her ex-boyfriend Ben and he accuses her of being a dyke. He pushes her up against the locker and threatens to tell everyone she is gay. The weirdest thing that happened was Toby Cavanaugh showed up to stop Ben from hurting Emily. Emily quickly ran away after and she was confused as to why he showed up.
