Micky Haller is still waiting for a response from Walter Elliot on his decision, but in the meantime Cisco has some news for Micky. Cisco has just informed Micky that he will be marrying Lorna. He just wanted to get an approval from Micky because that is Micky's ex wife. Micky says that he is okay with it but there are 4 important people in his life and Lorna is one of them. Cisco knew two of the people, Lorna and Hayley, but before Micky could answer who the other two were, the phone rang. It was Elliot. He said he would use Micky as his attorney and they are going to meet that night and Micky is going to check out the crime scene.
Micky is not back at Vincent's old office with Bosch. They are looking through the files still trying to figure out who killed Vincent. They added a guy to the suspect list, James Demarco. But Micky thinks it isn't a good idea to add him to the list because it is a dead case from a long time ago. Micky soon learns from Bosch that the killer took Vincents cell phone, either off of his body or it was in his breifcase. Before his death there were 3 random calls from the bureau, no longer than one minute each. They wanted somthing from him. Micky was wondering whether Bosch was warning him or playing him the whole time in the office.
